Dana Owen, DPM
Foot & Ankle Surgeon
Dana Owen, DPM received her undergraduate education in Irvine at the University of California. She attended medical school at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco and graduated in 1994. After receiving her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Owen went on to complete a two-year Foot and Ankle Surgical Residency at Mercy Hospital in San Diego, California. She also has hospital affiliations with Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center and St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center both in Boise, Idaho.
Dr. Owen has a special interest in educating her patients on all their treatment options and provides conservative care with surgery always being the last resort. She is also an expert in the prevention and treatment of various athletic injuries. Dr. Owen takes immense pride in keeping her patients active and improving their overall quality of life. She is board certified in Foot and Ankle Surgery and has been in practice for over 25 years.
She is a former competitive swimmer, endurance runner and half-ironman triathlete. She has experience in preventing and treating various athletic injuries and understands the requirements of training and competing. She enjoys mountain biking, swimming, hiking, alpine and nordic skiing, cooking and is active in her community. She mostly enjoys supporting and volunteering for organizations involving her two children and younger athletes in their endeavors.
Ryan Johnson, DPM
Dr. Ryan T. Johnson, DPM received his undergraduate education at Brigham Young University – Idaho. He attended Medical School at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, FL. After receiving his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Johnson completed a three-year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with credential in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery at the University Health Lakewood Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Dr. Johnson has experience in a wide variety of foot and ankle pathologies including bunion and hammer toe deformities, trauma, flat foot deformities, plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, sports related injuries and wound care. He has a passion for preventative medicine, wound care and limb salvage procedures for his diabetic patients. He is also trained in Minimally Invasive Surgery techniques.
Dr. Johnson knows relationships with his patients are important and focuses on individually tailored treatment options. He believes in always educating his patients so they can work together to improve their health and get them back on their feet.
Dr. Johnson is excited to be in the Treasure Valley, close to family and the Mountains again. He loves to attend local festivals and events for his Scottish heritage and his wife’s Polynesian background. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, hiking, grilling, trying new local eateries, and spending time with his wife and four children.
